Sharing that experience and embarking on a&nbsp;<strong>group skydiving<\/strong>&nbsp;adventure is multiplying the fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">BFFS FOREVER<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Picture this: Flying through the sky at 120 miles per hour is supremely empowering; drifting under quiet canopy when your chute deploys is deeply soul-nourishing; and touching down on terra firma is damn-well awe inspiring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you complete your experience, you want to shout from the rooftops about how crazy different you feel, how out-of-this-world amazing it was, how there&#8217;s nothing else in the universe like it. You want to shake people by the shoulders and say, &#8220;YOU HAVE TO DO IT!!!&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And then, you meet someone who HAS done it &#8230; and you&#8217;re instant best friends. They know what you know. You speak the same language because you have both flipped internal switches that ordinary ground dwellers don&#8217;t even know exist. Friggin&#8217; rad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As super cool as this all-too-familiar scenario is, what&#8217;s even more fulfilling is sharing the experience with a whole group of your pals. The skydiving community is like a massive, world-wide family because skydiving creates life-long bonds between people. Friends who jump together are oftentimes pals for life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To make sure everyone has a rad time, you&#8217;d be smart to plan ahead. Here is a list of recommended To-Dos:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. RESERVE YOUR SPOT IN THE SKY<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"\/prices\/book-online\/\">Booking ahead<\/a>&nbsp;is always wise &#8211; especially on weekends when skies are blue and the manifest is chock-a-block. It&#8217;s possible the odd singleton can sneak on a load, but the chances of a whole group getting up on a busy day are not solid. A $50 deposit per person is all that&#8217;s needed to add your name to the list; the balance will be due when you arrive at&nbsp;<a href=\"\/contact\/special-directions\/\">the dropzone<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. THREE WORDS: GROUP SKYDIVING PACKAGES<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Making a group reservation has the added bonus of securing a&nbsp;<a href=\"\/prices\/\">group rate<\/a>. Groups of four to seven receive $10 off per person; groups larger than eight get $20 per person. And dig this: assemble 16 or more peeps and you get one free tandem. Not. Too. Shabby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. PATIENCE, PLEASE<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every effort is made to put group members on the same load together, but sometimes it doesn&#8217;t work out that way. With&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/longislandskydiving.com\/about-skydiving-long-island\/articles\/is-skydiving-safe\/\">safety<\/a>&nbsp;being top priority, there&#8217;s a lot of behind-the-scenes logistics to stay on top of throughout the day. If you&#8217;re not on the same load, know that it&#8217;s for good reason. Trust the&nbsp;<a href=\"\/first-time\/frequently-asked-questions\/\">process<\/a>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<a href=\"\/about\/meet-the-owner\/\">pros<\/a>&nbsp;and know that your number will soon come up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. VIDEO OF YOUR TANDEM SKYDIVE<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a time when everyone is prospecting for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pg\/longislandskydiving\/photos\/?ref=page_internal\">social media gold<\/a>, first timers often want to share a&nbsp;<a href=\"\/first-time\/video-services\/\">videographer<\/a>&nbsp;and star in each other&#8217;s feature. Cool idea (and veteran skydivers do it all the time), but it&#8217;s a no-go for tandem skydivers. Jumpers are paced at the time of exit as a measure of safety. You can share the spotlight on the ground, but once sky high, it&#8217;s all about you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. THE GIFT OF HUMAN FLIGHT<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A tandem skydive is often top of mind for people marking a milestone, overcoming major life challenges, or embracing a new life chapter.
